Kaolin, also called China Clay, soft white clay that is an essential ingredient in the manufacture of China Clay offered by us is popularly known as Hydrated Aluminum Silicate. We bring forth Kaolin China Clay that is manufactured from superior quality materials that assure our customers of our authenticity. Finding various applications, our products are utilized in automotive as well as appliances like making of paper, rubber, paint, and many other products.

China clays have long been used in the ceramic industry, especially in fine porcelains, because they can be easily molded, have a fine texture, and are white when fired. Additionally, we provide time bound delivery of Calcined Clay Powder in various quantities and packaging to the desired destination. We are reckoned as one of the most eminent Calcined Clay Powder Manufacturers and Exporters from India.

China Clay is found in granite and is formed as a result of the decomposition of some of the feldspar within it. The feldspar changes into a fine white powder but the other part of the granite, mica and quartz remain unchanged. This process is known as ‘kaolinisation’. The Chinese have used kaolin and petuntse (china stone) for centuries to make porcelain but the recipe remained a secret to Europeans until the beginning of the 18th century when deposits of the raw materials were found in Saxony and then later in France. In Cornwall the ‘secret’ ingredients of porcelain had been used for a long time, china stone as a local building material and china clay to repair smelting furnaces.

China Clay is also used as filler, substrate and rheology modifier in cosmetics and pharmaceutical industry. For these applications china clay is specially treated, usually irradiated, to keep bacterial count low. In agricultural sprays, pesticides and deer browsing agent’s china clay is used as substrate and rheology modifier. At low temperature calcined china clay, called metakaolin, improves properties of cement based systems, reduces lime efflorescence and corrosion of concrete reinforcements, increases abrasion and chemical resistance of concrete or enhances frost-thaw resistance of tile adhesives.

Uses

  • It is used in manufacturing of porcelain and chinaware. For this purpose we prefer grit free china clay with some tolerance.
  • It is also utilized in manufacturing of electrical insulators. China clay free from silica and unaltered feldspar is used for electrical insulators. For electrical insulators iron content as low as possible in used china clay.
  • It is also used in production of crockery and paint industry. All users prefer china clay with some tolerance depending upon the end products to be manufactured.
  • In Pharmaceuticals and cosmetic industry china clay is used. They use froth free china clay i.e. the presence of lime should be practically nil.
  • It is used as filter in paper and textile industry. For giving a glaze on paper or textile the colour reflectance of china clay should not be less than 88.
  • It is utilized in large quantity as filler and reinforcing agent in rubber goods. China clay has light weight and possessing reinforcing properties and should be absolutely free from copper even in minute amount deleterious for rubber.
